My favorite place to take her picture is against this wood fence. It's color is neutral and the grass adds a bright natural element. She loves being outside more than anything so it seems  to fit her personality and makes for a more genuine photo. Plus, honestly, it helps to have a solid background that is always constant, to put her against. Sometimes when we go places, there isn't always a guarantee there will be a good back drop, even if it is the most picturesque place. 

Baby Cherub

She thinks the cherub is a baby and has to give it hugs and kisses. She wouldn't take a picture without him.

It is just so hot here. It's been too hot to have her outside and take pictures in the afternoon, like I normally do after lunch and her nap. If I have gotten a shot of her outside, its in at the end of the day after already changing a handful of times. I'm going to start taking pics in the morning after her daddy goes to work. Its so much brighter in the afternoon here which makes for brighter pics, but I'll have to figure out an alternative. And finally get another camera. I've been putting that off.

Still settling and getting used to Texas. Our pictures seem repetitive to me so I am back to altering and editing for the time being. I like more natural pics but this will have to do for now.

My pretty mixed baby.

I took so many pictures!!

I bought this dress in April and couldn't wait to put it on her. I thought it would be perfect for summer with the light color and fabric. I was wrong. It may have worked as a summer dress in KC but not in south Texas. We were walking around La Cantera and my poor baby got hot and poor thing started sweating! We'll have to store this one until spring. Luckily, the dress is long because the sizing is broad in HM baby clothing, so she can wear it next year or maybe on a summer night.
