Missoni
The Missoni line for Target sold out in stores across the United States and made history throughout the fashion industry. The frenzy caused Target's website to crash, and women were literally crying and fighting for items in the store, according to a Target employee in California. We went to a Target to see if we could purchase some items but of course since it was the aby area, there wasn't anything left from the line to purchase in the store. Not socks, a cup or a plate, a headband, nothing. I didn't think to check our Targets at home because I figured everyone, everywhere was as interested in the line as my sister and I were. I forgot all about it by the time we were home, but lucky for me, we went to Target and there were baby items still for purchase! I guess that's one advantage of living in the Midwest.
Going Home
Even though we were ready to get back to the midswest, I wasn't ready to leave my sisters. It is really hard living away from family. We go about our day and we are so busy, we don't stop to think about how much time is going by or how much we miss out on eachothers' lives. Since the baby was born, I've tried to be more conscious of my realationships. It is definatley more difficult having a baby and husband to take care of, but I try to take at least a second to send pics of the baby because I want to make sure my sisters are always involved in her life. I may forget to make a phone call or email, but I don't want to ever prevent the baby from having good connections with her loved ones. That way, when I forget to make calls, I'll have the little one to remember and remind me.
