Butterfly Migration

How gorgeous is that open field?? I was driving to my mom's when I noticed hundreds of butterflies floating happily about. Literally hundreds, no exageration. I drive by this field almost everyday and always want to stop but always forget to. I thought this would be the perfect day to stop because I figured there would be a ton of butterflies over the pretty wild flowers. Well, I was right but only had my iPhone, which takes great pics but the shutter isn't fast enough to capture fast moving objects. The last picture above with the arrow is the only butterfly I caught on camera. I later googled the reason for all the butterflies and I found out butterflies from all over the country, even some from Canada, fly through Texas to go to Mexico. Pretty fun.

Betsey Baby

Baby was in mommy's jewelry again. I don't mind but I hate the thought of metal on her delicate skin.

About Time

I feel like I haven't updated in soooo long. It's only been a few weeks but in baby time it feels like double that time. In those few weeks we have had a lot going on. Baby got a mild cold, only her second in her almost two year lifetime, but no less devastating to me because I am a freak about germs and keeping her shielded from anything and everything that could make her sick. To no avail, she still caught a cold which is pretty common for this time of year I guess and now that I think of, it is almost exactly a year from her first cold. She was NOT in the mood for a camera in her face with snot coming out if her nose. Girlfriend already knows when to lay low when she is not looking her best.

We fostered the cutest puppy around the time she had a cold (which is probably how she got sick) My husband found him outside and we were going to keep him because he has been begging to get baby girl a puppy and this one seemingly fell into our laps and we thought it must be fate.....until he pooped in her room. And chewed on some of her toys. Luckily, when the Humane Society came to pick the little guys up, we found out he had a microchip and could be returned to his rightful owner. So it worked out for the best. A family got their dog back and I proved I was right and won the argument that puppies, though cute, are like having a baby all over again. It is very difficult to have a toddler almost, if not already, in the terrible two's phase and a puppy, especially when both are in the process of potty training. Almost impossible.

Lastly, I finally received my iPhone 5 after three weeks of waiting from the original launch date!!!! We switched from Sprint because I had no service since we practically live in the desert and it was perfect timing, for once, because the new model was about to launch in the same week we decided to change companies. We chose Verizon which was a big pain in my behind and ordered over the phone which delayed the process even more. Long, confusing  boring, story short, I'm back in the game with my 5 and all is good. Once you go Mac, you never go back.
