11.11

3 years ago I went into labor, completely unannounced. I had no idea that she would be making her grand entrance into the world, fashionably late almost 2 weeks past her due date. In the middle of the night she decided she was ready to play. Party animal. She wasn't coming until she was ready on her time no matter how ready I was to not be pregnant anymore. After 22 hours of labor, she was born + changed our lives forever. She wasn't planned but she was an incredible surprise, a gift. She teaches me about life + love everyday more than I learned in all my years before she was here. I can't even remember what it was like without her.

So on this day in California, we celebrated the beginning of her journey on Earth with a boat + carousel ride in the city.

Moving Day

This day was inevitable + very difficult. We knew we had a job to do when we arranged our trip out but it all became a reality when the moving truck showed up that morning. The night before we had a packing party with our family, enjoying our drinks + laughing but we were also on edge in anticipation for the next day's schedule. The morning came quickly + we finished last minute details as the truck was being loaded by friends + family. The men moved + my sisters + I stayed in trying to keep the babies occupied + out of the way while soaking up our last week of being together as three sisters. The hours went by fast + before you know it, it was over + all that was left was us + some suitcases.
