March Camera Roll: Week 3

Baby Blue

Went to a kid arcade pizza place + she wanted to use her tickets for army men. She's asked for them before + I usually direct her towards something else. This time, she had a valid argument, saying they were the Toy Story army men. Good point of reference. So now, when they're not being shoved into tins or being stepped on, she snipes out the window with them, insisting someone is trying to steal our car. Not exactly what I want her be doing with them, but I pick my battles these days. 

March Camera Roll: Week 2

I'm trying to condense the weeks so I won't have too many pics to post at the end of the month because that can be tedious. I like putting these pics on here because it better depicts what our days are like without giving too much info. I'm not one that likes to put it all out there. The more you have out there the more people know about your private life. I like to keep details out for her safety because this world is crazy + I trust no one basically. Her childhood is sacred + I never want this to be a burden on her. I will never consider myself a "blogger" + I don't try to be famous through this or IG. If you like me, you'll follow, if not, I don't care {sorrynotsorry} I will never try to get you to like me. I don't kiss ass for a bigger network or more friends + I won't give empty compliments that are not sincere + I won't sell out for free things. It's fun to see where I can reach readers across the globe but I don't push for it. There's just something so tacky about campaigning + playing games for people to like you. I never want Pea to have to win someone's interest through false perceptions. I want her to never care what the public thinks of her. It's more fun that way ;)

Green, Pink, Gold

Happy Patty Day! You only have to wear a little bit o' green on this holiday, no? If yes, this counts. After looking through her closet I found she doesn't have one solid green anything. Neon, seafoam, lime, army yes but no kelly. Oh well, it's not really a color I gravitate towards. Apparently floral + bright colors are our jam. I'm sure some might not choose this color combo but I don't like to stick to the neutral color box everyday. It is just warm enought for no tights or pants (!!!!) but it's still a little chilly so she got to wear her pink lady coat once more before the spring temps really set in. I've always liked St. Pats because it was a clear indication spring was here to stay {well maybe not in the Midwest because it just snowed} with the official first day of spring falling a few days after. Next stop, sandals!!

Spring Forward This

So this whole spring forward time change has really messed with our week. We've been waking up late every day which sets the entire day back. Must. Set. Alarm. She used to be our alrarm clock but she's been snoozin in. We woke up to 36° today. Whattf is happening to this weather in Texas. How much further down in the US do we have to go for warmer weather?! I'll be forced to go to a beach in Mexico. The sun has come out today + it's in the 60's but still. I know, #firstworldproblems. We want to stretch our feet out + wear pretty sandals! No more coats. I do love the one she has on though + sadly it will be packed up after the season never to come out again because she's just about grown out of it. It's one of the few things she's had since she was a baby that sill fits. Wah. When she was smaller it went past her little bum since it was a couple sizes larger. My pretty flower just keeps getting bigger + brighter every day that I love her. 

Texas Baby

We had a really nice weather {for one day!!!} so we went to the Market to enjoy the sunshine. I'm going to start breaking her weeks down in my camera roll because I feel like the end of the month pots are long winded because I take so many in just one month.

This past week was pretty mild compared to some weeks as far as errands go. I try really hard to keep her on an activity schedule because she could play all day listening to her Yo Gabba Pandora station. Imaginative, self led play is extremely important for babies + toddlets but since we're not sure about preschool yet, I want to make sure she's not lacking new things to learn + absorb. I'm still trying to figure out her learning style though. She seems to be an auditory, visual + tactile learner it just depends on the day + lesson. She's eager to learn which is exciting because I'm kind of a nerd myself. I love new knowledge about anything + everything. I hope + think I passed that on to her. She's inquisitive + always thinking. The way she says Australia + Africa is the cutest shit I've ever heard. 

 She found a blue ( her current favorite color) barn with miniature horses, another favorite. I've been trying to keep toys at a minimum after she cleared out for Christmas but her daddy manages to help sneak new ones home. Waiting for the day when they try to sneak a pony into our house. This is Texas after all + I know the day will come when she asks for a horse. And of course, he will deliver. 

Leather + Lace

She was grumpy after I woke her up from her nap + insisted on bringing the heaviest tins. A Betty Boop + Yellow Submarine of course, filled with a wood train set that spells her name, California Raisin toys from the 90's + the kitchen sink.  Miss Independent I Can Do It Myself + Make My Own Decisions Myself Thankyouverymuch. She is such a threenager these days. She sleeps in a little later, wants to stay up later + later every night + doesn't want to pick up her room. She's sweet though so it make up for it. She still needs to be cuddled when she naps + goes to bed after storytime which is so special to me because it's one of the last baby like thing she does these days. She still needs that close contact along with hugs + kisses throughout her day. When your baby grows, its so joyous but a little part of you aches because you have to let go of the baby you knew. Its really hard. For me anyway.

Waiting on Spring

Well, its March + I was hoping the weather storms would stop but of course we wake up to winter temps. What is this? Kansas? I did not sign up for this Texas. The forecast said rain not snow. At least I can stretch out her wardrobe for the time being with all the layering but we are ready for sandals + bare feet with a dress on. Work with me nature.
