Daddy

Beanie babies during her first week home from the hospital.
These two kill me. To say they are best friends is an understatement. He is her hero + makes magic happen for her on a daily basis. He puts up with his girls + allows us to drive him crazy everyday. I always knew he would be such a good dad because he is Peter Pan incarnate but I didn't quite know the magnitude of how great he would be in his role. He strives to be the best daddy he can be + I'm okay with him sneaking her candy when he comes home before dinner. It was supposed to be his birthday today but he "recycled" his day into her birthday. Either way, we celebrate.

Camera Roll // June Wknd 2014

We are about to have a crazy week over here in this part of the hemisphere. We're going on a small but super fun vacation at the end of this week. A short days drive + we will be in the Gulf of Mexico. Sure it's not as trendy as some name you can't pronounce in Mexico that is plastered all over Pinterest but it will be freaking awesome no less. Sunset dolphin rides, morning beach walks, fresh seafood + my babes. We totally deserve it. Can not wait to see her in a warm ocean. She has seen the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco numerous times but usually has 10 layers on + hasn't had the pleasure of warm water + sunshine. The Mr. + I worked in Galveston for the summer like 7 years ago but that water wasn't very tropical. So, since her schedule is about to get rocked upside down, this past week has been low key as will the days leading up to our departure. She can't stop talking about it + going over her ocean book which I am sure she will bring along with her even though it's probably a 5 pound book. This will be her first road trip + we are sparing no electronic device to keep her content in the back seat because the girl hates being tied down for too long. Wish us luck! Before then though, she has tumbling + a library party + a few errands in between. Counting down. Have a great week people.
Morning smoothie.
Happy it's Friday at the library.
Learning about precipitation.
Working on her balancing act.
She can find something she warns anywhere. Like this shower. At lowes.
Perfect Staurday of her. Doughnut + milk.

Neutral Natural

She has the exact same smile she had as a baby. As we are already half way through the year, I am reminded her birthday is getting closer + closer. I can't believe I will have a 4 year old. It has been so quick + won't stall no matter much I try to make it slow down. I've said this numerous times before but can time just slow down + stop making me feel like I am being rushed? I hate feeling rushed + I have to constantly remind myself to focus on today because what you do today affects tomorrow + so on + so forth. So the best I can do is focus on the day + that will set the rest of weeks + years in motion, I just can't think about it. I'll think about that tomorrow ...
I can never pick just one because each second means so much to me
I never taught her how to pose or tell her to, she just does it.

Camera Roll: June Weeks + Weekends

After the relatives left a couple of weeks ago, it feels like we're back to normal around here. I've been making it a point to get back to her activity schedule + do lots of things just for her. She's also had good solo time to herself which she loves. She's more than obsessed with her family but she was ready to do her thing. Can't blame her, she has the life. Right now she thrives on independence + enjoys being  trusted in her room. I think she missed it while we were out of the house + she didn't have access to her things like normal while she plays. She loves her space + she's at peace when she's at her home + in her element. She said it was good to be home + I agree. It's my favorite place to be.

Babbling Baby

It's Friday! {Insert funny emoticon here}
We love her baby babble which I'm positive is completely French! I really wish we could have weekends + hit the streets with this precious babe! Everything we do Pres says she wishes her Amélie could go too. Before her naps she wishes Amélie could cuddle with us. Me too. If only it didn't take a whole days voyage to see them we would in less than a heartbeat. The fourth of July was fun but we couldn't help but feel it's not the same. Especially since last year we got to spend it with them. Still, so happy for their new story.
It has been 8 months since they left + it still somehow seems like it was just last week. My sister started uploading to a shared file so we get countless pics of her all at the same time. I have no idea how it works but it does. Just have to remember to save them to my camera roll for when I upload pics to my hard drive because I am a total picture hoarder + it's making me lightheaded to even think of losing her pics!
My sister stared a blog to update the universe on their lives so if you like cute babies + gorgeous views, go take a peek! I will continue with the snaps of her outfits but Kate's blog will give you the details.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
