Winter in KC

Days still feel like winter basically everywhere, so I thought it the right time to post left over pics from this past season. Since I can't force the weather to cooperate consistently, once February is over I will be boycotting everything winter in hopes that spring will stay. 

We went to KC for a quick trip on Valentines weekend. Getting back into a solid routine is a process even after just a few days away. Pres got to experience the snow for the first time as a child. She saw her fair share of winter weather as a baby when we still lived in KC but she got to feel it + remember it this time around. She loved every bit of it + I hated every minute of it. I am sorry, it is beautiful, I grew up in it but when it turns to ugly slush + you have to be out + not hide inside, I just can't deal. Totally looking forward to going back when it is warmer to do some touristy things this summer instead of dressing like were in Fargo.

Blue Skies

The weather here has been amazing! We woke up to bright sunshine today after a couple of days of the most perfect weather. I don't really mind the cool air but I at least want some sun mixed in there too! She likes cold weather + all that it entails. Her spring coat is the perfect shade of powder baby blue. We still have cool mornings + some chilly cloudy days ahead but for now we'll be running around outside.

Metallic Weekend

It's the weekend! Saturday is my favorite day because, duh. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 70 degrees so I can't wait to go to sleep tonight + wake up for sunshine! Since we have her workshop tomorrow I thought I would post last month's workshop day that I had on my phone. I seem to only take pics with my phone lately because it's usually easier but it takes so many I often forget about the previous ones. I'm copycatting her look, obviously. She had shiny high tops first but they're comfy + I love anything shiny. 

Butterfly In Winter

Even though there have been quite a few cold days in this part of Texas, there have been good solid sunshine days mixed in as well. When there is an abundance of sun, we like to be out exploring or simply doing as many errands as we can to take full advantage of the light. We really don't have it that bad because any place that hosts butterflies in the winter is a good place to be for me + her as well.

Visiting the Alamo + a supposed haunted hotel. There are still phone booths in the lobby of the hotel with non working pay phones, which was funny to me because they are practically extinct at this point in Presley's life. 

Leather, Knits + Plaid

With February here + spring around the corner, we have been in a pastel color wave trying to channel warmer day. A few weeks ago, on a gloomy day this winter, we chose a darker palette for some evening shopping + dining. I plan on paring the jacket with lace + lighter fabrics this spring. She looks like such a teenager these days.
