It's a girl! We added a new member to our family two weeks ago tomorrow. She is extremely low maintenance + a cuddler so she totally fits in with us. We were only supposed to stop by the ASPCA adoption spot to give a little love + attention to the pets up for adoption but of course we meet the tiniest 12 week old baby with the most pitiful sad eyes, shivering from the wind in her crate. Once we held her I really couldn't put her down. The Mr. + I have had an agreement that she could get a puppy when she was a little older to help as much as she could with the responsibilities of owning a pet. Even though we had this agreement he still asked every other day to get her a puppy + I would have to remind him of how much attention + time animals needed + she wasn't ready yet. Clearly I went back on my word + completely disregarded what I said before. We love her so much + it seems like she filled a little spot in our home that we can't imagine being empty now. Our daily routine is a little longer with a thousand potty breaks in between but we've adjusted. Seeing Pres with Flower is one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed + knowing they will grow up together makes it all that more special.

Early Spring
We have been enjoying the tiny spring we get to have. There was plenty of rain after the chilly winter so it kind of felt like winter was lingering with the clouds but now everything is super green with wildflowers + blue bonnets sprouting up everywhere, birds singing + chirping all day. Normally it's chilly in the morning but warm during the day so we've opted for light layers in light colors. She is ready for dresses + sunnies everyday while eating all the fresh fruits. We just might transition to sandals this week because it will be 80ยบ + sunny.
Checking a life goal off her list: digging + jumping in mud.

St. Patricks's Day 2015
My little leprechaun! No green drinks here today but we try to keep it a little festive. She went to the library this morning for rainbow stories + searched for some after but we didn't find any. She found flowers but then she saw the bees + that was the end of that adventure. Even though it has been rainy all afternoon, spring is here + it feels spectacular. She was thrilled to not have to wear tights or pants but still not happy about having to "cover up her" outfit. She has always had an option + choice with her clothes but these days she has extreme particularities about the final look. At home she only wears "fancy" dresses impractical for her daily life or ugly weather so she was pretty excited about her jacket + sparkly skirt combo.

Ringing in Spring
Rainy days are never a bad thing especially when you get to go to a basketball game on a Sunday afternoon which is exactly what Presley got to do for the first time this week. She cheered along + liked the mascot the most but her favorite part was the cotton candy + popcorn.
After the rain this weekend we are forecasted to have good weather for the rest of the week. I think spring is finally here for good so we will be out in the sunshine every chance we get. She loves being outside to run her giggles off because sometimes bouncing around inside just isn't enough. I am ready for sandals + ice tea at the park. After winter it is the tiniest things that make each day brighter + seem more fun.

February 2015
Well now that I am all caught up from traveling (only took about 2 1/2 weeks) I can focus on other things going into March. The crazy weather everywhere is making the weather here go backwards + upside-down but we have had some bright, nice days. We venture out when necessary but we've kept warm + snuggly for the most part inside on the cold ones.
I have had a good calm winter with my baby girl + the next one we have she will be 5. She is growing up like a wildflower + if I say one more word about I will start to cry because I love her so much. These are all snaps from my phone this past month.
