The past couple of weeks have been super busy in this part of Texas. My family came in town for a couple of weeks and we haven't really had the time for our little dress up time. There has been so much commotion that she really couldn't even focus for the random candid pics I usually snap of her on my iPhone if I'm not able to get a good one on my camera. Plus, with Labor Day and the transition into fall, I wanted to update her wardrobe a little bit. Thing is, south Texas stays in the 90's well into October, even until November. Most retail stores are pushing clothes meant for chilly weather: jeans, sweaters, coats, hats, corduroy and fleece. The weather appropriate clothes are too summery and don't have the color palette I'm looking for. I don't usually follow fashion "rules" for her because she is a baby and those things don't matter (I don't follow them myself) but her dresses seem too summery. I'll have to adjust our routine a bit in the coming months to take her pics in the early, early mornings to accommodate long sleeves and boots. We shall see what the next few weeks bring.
