I could post a million more pics of us in the clouds but I'll spare you. The "laws" have changed about turning off all portable electronic devices on planes now + the new bill was in the process of changing when we took this vacation. Now, as long as you have your device on airplane mode, you can have your phone out + on, so that will be a really cool option for future flights to snap away while taking off/landing. Clearly, I'm a nerd so this is exciting news to me!
As we started our voyage into California, I was thinking of all the times I made that trip on my own as a young lady + now as someone with a family. Definently more fun to have a row of us 3 instead of sitting by strangers, even though my mini now gets the window seat, I'm smushed in the middle + poor daddy gets the isle seat. I also thought about how this would be the last trip to SF for a long while. Of course we will visit again, but the next trip we take out of Texas will most likely be to visit my sister in Europe. This trip to SF was kind of a farewell tour. In the almost decade that I have been visitng the city, so much has changed. There have been marriages, moves across the country, babies, tears, laughter and so much more in between. Our family of 5 has grown into what we are now. Life changes and there's no way to tell which direction it will take you. I wondered what life would be like if I stayed in SF permantly like I intended to a million times, if my sisters never moved, if we never moved. It's just crazy to think about.
I'm trying to do a mash up of a few days in each post. Our first week was kind of all business because we went there to help with the move so there were some days we were so busy with packing + chasing babies that we didn't have a set plan for sightseeing. I'm also adding my camera roll so I won't have to back track because I like sequential order. The entire trip I took more than 1500 photos on my Nikon and iPhone. I'm a picture hoarder + I've said before I don't like to share all my pics because some things are meant for just my family. So, here we go.
