Diamonds

Baby got her ears pierced! I always thought I would get the baby's ears pieced immediately after she was old enough, but once she was born, I thought it would be cruel to inflict unneccesay pain on her. I decided I would wait until she could make the decision herself one day. Then, strangers kept calling the baby a he. Maybe it was the lack of hair and the fact that her daddy was always taking her bow off, but even when she was in a dress people still thought she was a he. I know maybe her name throws people off, but does she have to wear a bow and be drenched in hot pink just for people to know she a girl? Fed up, my honey thought she needed her ears pierced so maybe people would use their eyes to see instead of assuming. We took her to a jewelry shop and got them done. I was more nervous and shaky than she was! I couldn't keep her head from moving so daddy had to hold her. She didn't even flinch. She made a funny face but was perfectly fine. We had no issues with cleaning them and they didn't get infected. But to no avail, people still called her a he. You can't win 'em all.
