A cardigan is great for mornings or chilly air conditioned places. Not so much outside in the afternoon. Though it is no longer 100 by ten AM, the sun is out all day + can still feel like it's boiling your skin if you're exposed to it directly.
My makeup melting off my face in October is great for Halloween.
I love chambray for fall. I guess it could be considered more of a summer fabric, but around here, anything that is not a super breathable light cotton, should be considered anything but summer. Everything out in stores right now in fallish + wintery so I am having to incorporate her summer with the fall items to keep her comfy. In the last pictures I clearly failed because her bangs are sweating. We were on our way out the door for dinner once daddy got home and it was still on fire.
Luckily, once the sun goes down it's perfect.
