Our fall consists of tops with sleeves and baby's hair down with a bow. Ha. I can say hair now! She basically just had baby chick fuzz when we moved to Texas, which then turned into the cutest pixie cut ever (I really miss that phase) and now she has locks that curl at the ends. It's so hot here I've kept her hair in a topknot and put sleeveless dresses or tops for most of the summer to keep her cool because she gets irritated when her hair sticks to her neck and face. Already so particular about everything. Same goes for bows. She runs warms and her head is always hot so hair bows are usually always out of the question.
While we're on the topic of bows...what is wrong with putting bows on your baby girl's head!?!?! I have gotten numerous comments from all over the place about bows. They're like the sprinkles and cherry on top of ice cream. So pretty and sweet. Pres has never objected and even asks for them now. Oh that's right, I'm pushing my own gender stereotypes on her so I've conditioned her to like them against her natural will. No. Trust me, I'm pretty sure she can make up her own mind about everything. She'll wear a bow on her head while taking a nature walk and smash bugs with her gladiator sandals. She will never be one or the other. She will be not be categorized as girly or a tomboy. Some day she'll be able to change a tire and oil but she just might be wearing a dress while doing so. She'll be a little bit of everything rolled in to one beautiful multifaceted gem.
